Warranty & terms

What I stand behind, and for how long

Every job Amped Up Electrical Adelaide does carries the two warranties below. They are printed on your quote and on your invoice as well, so you are never relying on remembering a conversation. This page is just the same terms in full.

The warranty

Lifetime workmanship warranty on my labour

For as long as you own the property, if anything I have installed, terminated or connected works loose, fails, or is found not to comply, I come back and put it right at no charge. There is no time limit on it and there is no call-out fee on a warranty visit.

Manufacturer warranty on the equipment, handled by me

Everything I install carries its maker's warranty. If a device fails inside that period, I deal with the manufacturer and swap it out — you do not chase anyone. The labour to do that is covered by the workmanship warranty above, so there is nothing for you to pay.

Conditions

Two conditions keep both warranties live. Neither is unusual, and both come down to the same thing: I can only stand behind work that is still as I left it.

What the warranty does not cover

The warranty covers the equipment supplied and the work carried out by Amped Up Electrical Adelaide on your job. It does not cover:

Common questions

How do I make a claim?

Call or text me on 0468 008 822. You do not need paperwork or a claim form — I have the job record, the test results and the Certificate of Compliance on file.

Does this affect my rights under Australian Consumer Law?

No. Nothing in this warranty limits, and it sits alongside, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under that law.

What if I sell the house?

The workmanship warranty runs for as long as you own the property. The manufacturer warranty on the equipment goes with the equipment, so it carries on regardless.

Why does the board need checking every two years?

Electrical installations are not set and forget. Terminations can work loose, safety switches can lose sensitivity, and things get added to a board over the years. A periodic inspection and test is how that gets picked up before it becomes a problem — and it is the only way I can keep standing behind work I did years ago.

Do you use decent gear?

Yes. Circuit protection is Hager unless you ask for something else. Every job is carried out to AS/NZS 3000 and issued with an electrical Certificate of Compliance.

Questions about any of this?

Ring me and ask. You deal with me directly — there is no call centre and no subcontractors.
