★★★★★We contacted Amped Up Electrical, based on their positive reviews, to do a number of jobs around our home in Royston Park. We found Marcus to be friendly, punctual and thorough. He did a good job replacing an old light in our bedroom, installing new downlights in our bathroom and a sensor light in our driveway. Most importantly, Marcus alerted us to some wiring issues in our roof, which we were unaware of (and took some photos so we could see the problem). He was then able to rectify the issues. It depends on the room. As a rough guide, one per 1.5 to 2 square metres. Marcus suggests a layout that lights the room evenly.
Often, yes. Marcus checks the wiring and switchboard first. If a new circuit is needed, he tells you before any work starts.

Either works. Marcus can supply quality LED fittings or install the ones you have bought.
Usually one of three things: a dimmer that is not made for LED, a driver that is on its way out, or a loose connection in the circuit. A loose neutral is the one to take seriously, because it can also affect other lights and power points. Marcus checks the dimmer and the fitting first, then the connections, and tells you what he found before any work starts.
Most quality LED downlights are rated for 25,000 to 50,000 hours, which is 10 to 20 years of normal home use. The driver usually gives out before the LED itself. Cheap fittings and poor ventilation in the ceiling shorten that. Marcus fits downlights that can be replaced from below, so a failed one does not mean getting into the roof.
